Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach me at Bren@devlindetailing.com or (484)390.0455 if you cannot find an answer to your question.

YES!  I have been certified by numerous manufacturers, however I choose to work almost exclusively with SystemX.  I have been a certiied installer with SX since January 2020, installing and maintaining over 500 SX top line coatings.

I need to see some photos of the current vehicle condition in order to give you a quote or schedule an appointment.  These can easily be texted to 484.three90.zero455

This all depends on the amount of work being done and condition of the vehicle.  A typical full inside and out detail on an average sized vehicle can take from 3-5 hours.

Yes!  I cannot clean areas that are not emptied out (i.e. center console, glove comp., etc.).  Any area not emptied will not be cleaned.   I also ask that all trash and other personal effects (i.e. childrens car seats) be removed from the vehicle unless detailing only involves the exterior.

Yes!  Dropping off the evening prior to your appoibtment date is actually preferred, as I get a much earlier start on it.  Drop off and pickup must be before 8PM due to municipal regulations.

Unfortunately no, only for the rare exception for a ceramic coating do I schedule a Saturday or Sunday appointment.

Unless otherwise arranged when scheduling, I typically complete vehicles in the order they are dropped off.  If a vehicle is dropped off the evening prior, it may be done as early as mid morning.  All vehicles are typically ready to leave by mid-afternoon.

Check or Venmo are preferred, however we do accept cash and credit cards electronically (with a 3% fee added).

  • The brushes can scratch your paint. The brushes in tunnel car washes are designed to clean dirt and debris off of cars, but they can also scratch your paint if they are not properly maintained. If the brushes are worn or dirty, they can leave small scratches on your car's surface.
  • The chemicals used in tunnel car washes can be harsh. The chemicals used in tunnel car washes are designed to remove dirt and grime, but they can also be harsh on your car's paint and finish. If you use a tunnel car wash regularly, the chemicals can start to break down your car's paint and make it look dull.
  • The water used in tunnel car washes can be hard. Hard water is water that contains high levels of minerals, such as calcium and magnesium. These minerals can build up on your car's surface and leave behind a white residue. This residue can make your car look dirty and can also damage your car's paint.
  • Tunnel car washes can be expensive. Tunnel car washes can be more expensive than hand-washing your car. If you are on a budget, you may want to consider hand-washing your car instead of using a tunnel car wash.

If you do decide to use a tunnel car wash, there are a few things you can do to minimize the damage to your car:

  • Choose a tunnel car wash that uses soft brushes. Some tunnel car washes use soft brushes that are less likely to scratch your car's paint.
  • Ask the attendant to check the brushes before you go through the wash. The attendant should check the brushes to make sure they are not worn or dirty.
  • Use a wax or sealant on your car. A wax or sealant can help to protect your car's paint from the chemicals and hard water used in tunnel car washes.
  • Wash your car regularly. If you wash your car regularly, you will help to prevent dirt and grime from building up on your car's surface. This will help to reduce the risk of scratches and damage from the chemicals and hard water used in tunnel car washes.

  1. Wash your car in the shade. The sun's heat can cause the water to dry quickly, which can leave streaks and water spots on your car's paint.
  2. Use a two-bucket method. One bucket should contain soapy water, and the other bucket should contain clean water.
  3. Wet your car with a hose. Use a low-pressure setting to avoid damaging your car's paint.
  4. Apply a car wash soap to the car wash mitt or sponge. Work the soap into a lather, but avoid using too much soap, as this can leave streaks on your car's paint.
  5. Wash your car from top to bottom, in small sections. Rinse each section thoroughly before moving on to the next one.
  6. Rinse your car thoroughly with a hose. Be sure to rinse away all of the soap suds.
  7. Dry your car with a clean, soft towel. Do not use a chamois, as it can scratch your car's paint.
  8. Apply a wax or sealant to your car's paint. This will help to protect your car's paint from the elements and keep it looking its best.
